WHO point codes across languages (ST36, E36, Ma36…)

How Meridiania understands localized codes when searching and studying acupuncture points.

The same point can be written many ways: ST36 (WHO English), E36 (Spanish), Ma36 (German), Stomach 36. These are not different points — they are code conventions. Why it matters School notes, translated books and apps mix styles. If you search “E36” in an atlas that only knows “ST36”, you lose the landmark. Meridiania normalizes those forms in search and shows codes by UI language: Spanish shows E36 with ST36; German shows Ma36/ST36; LI4, GB20 and KI3 follow the same idea. How to use it in class 1) Ask students to search their local code (E36, Ma36…). 2) Open the canonical sheet and 3D atlas. 3) Write both forms in the notebook (local + WHO). 4) Link meridian and family (he-sea, yuan, luo…). 5) Close with a quiz using the UI code. Educational moat Few web atlases combine multilingual codes, presence, Masunaga/Namikoshi layers and a public domain (meridiania.net) separate from the private LMS. That helps international schools without pretending clinical parity. Study — not a clinical protocol.
