Breathe. Listen to the channel. Follow the Qi.

Where pressure meets the meridian, the body remembers its own map — shiatsu, TCM and study in one quiet pulse.

Channel

It is the foot yang ming channel. In class you know it by the front of the leg and by ST36. Earth, paired with spleen.

The study pathway

It starts at ST1, below the pupil. It crosses the face, descends the neck, chest and abdomen — ST25 is two cun from the navel — and continues down the front of the thigh and leg to ST45, on the second toe.

ST36

It is studied three cun below the knee, one finger lateral to the tibial crest. It is the example the cun guide uses. It is not in the knee joint line: it is on the leg.

Earth and Masunaga

Stomach is earth, paired with spleen, on the clock at 07–09. The Masunaga extension of “stomach” does not match ST36 point for point. Compare the two maps on the TCM–Masunaga page, not on the same line of the notebook.

Questions

Do E36 and ST36 move?
No. The abbreviation changes with the language. The sheet and the 3D view are the same point.
Is ST25 the navel?
No. It is studied two cun lateral to the navel, on the abdomen, not at the centre.

Study reference within traditional Shiatsu/TCM frameworks. Does not diagnose or treat.
